Rebecca Christensen-Ballet Consultant
Rebecca Christensen has been a ballet dancer for 30 years and teaching ballet for over a decade in Las Vegas and Utah. She is a former principal ballerina with the Nevada Ballet Theatre. Her repertoire includes leading roles in ballets and works by famed choreographers, such as George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Frederick Ashton, Agnes de Mille, Val Caniparoli, and James Canfield, to name a few. She is well versed in all styles of dance, having trained in the Vaganova and Cecchetti ballet methods. Rebecca has danced and performed works in contemporary, modern, African, tap, and even hip hop. She has performed in some of the country’s most respected concert halls, including The Kennedy Center and Constitution Hall.
Rebecca is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique and is a certified Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® trainer specializing in dancer training and rehabilitation.
Rebecca is married to a fellow dancer, Dr. Jared Christensen, DPT, and they have a beautiful daughter, Annalise.

Megan Schiffman Warnick
Megan started dancing at the young age of five years old. She has trained in all styles including jazz, ballet, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. At 13 years old she joined the pre-professional company Odyssey 2 and attended Kirov Academy of Ballets summer program in Washington DC. She had the opportunity to perform with the Utah Lyric Opera in 2012. She has been also given the chance to be apart of Beyond 5’s “That’s what you do” music video, danced with MC Hammer, was the premier model/tap dancer for MAC cosmetics summer line “Hey Sailor!”, and a ballerina in the movie “12 dogs of Christmas 2”. In the fall of 2013 she became of member of the professional company Odyssey Dance Theatre for 4 seasons, performing numerous shows, including performing in a European Tour. She performed with the National Tour of “Disney Jr. Live on tour: Pirate & Princess Adventure” where she portrayed the role of “Cinderella” . Megan participated in the Divinity Dance company video “The Greatest Show”, Peter Hollens “This is me”, SOPHOS commercial, “No Freakin Way” commercial Sonnet James dance off video, Kortni Jean Swimwear video, and Sofia Wylies “Mama Mia”. Megan completed her Classical Pilates Certification and Acrobatic Arts Certification so she can incorporate it into all of her classes!
Audrey Parker – Touring Director
Audrey Parker is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada. Audrey began dancing at Bunker Dance Center and continued dancing there until she graduated from high school from the Las Vegas Academy for Performing Arts in 2007, where she majored in dance.
Audrey then moved to Utah where she earned a bachelor’s degree in performing arts, with an emphasis in modern dance, at Utah Valley University. While there, she was a member of the contemporary company, Contemporary Dance Ensemble.
She has worked with choreographers, such as Napoleon and Tabitha Dumo, and as an assistant to Stacey Tookey from “So You Think You Can Dance” for five years. She was a member of Odyssey Dance Theatre from 2010 to 2014. During that time, she performed around the country, as well as Germany multiple times, and Istanbul, Turkey.
Audrey is going into her 12th year of teaching and can’t wait to begin another amazing season at The Pointe Academy.
Sarah Shaw – Elite Director and Open Division Director
Sarah has been dancing since the early age of three years old. At 10, she moved to Salt Lake City and focused mainly on her love of ballet, under the direction of Gilles Maidon and Jillana Webb. She performed with Ballet West for several years in the Nutcracker and was a member of the Salt Lake Ballet Company where she performed in many classical ballets. Sarah was a member of the dance company and nationally-acclaimed drill team in high school. She was selected as a member of the UHSAA all-state and all-region dance and drill team in 1998. After graduating, Sarah continued her dance training at the University of Utah. She was selected as a dancer for the 2002 Olympic Closing Ceremonies and got to dance with the band KISS. She has traveled to Los Angeles and New York several times to take master classes with some of the country’s top choreographers. Sarah has been teaching since 1998. And after years of teaching all levels of ballet, jazz, and lyrical, she has found her true calling and love: working with the young preschool classes. Sarah is the mother of two daughters and a son, and loves watching them learn and love to dance.
Kate Moss – Touring Director
Kate Moss grew up dancing at The Dance Club in Orem, Utah, where she trained extensively in all styles of dance.
She has been a member of Odyssey Dance Theater and Divinity Dance Company, both based in Salt Lake City, and has performed on stages across the country as well in Germany, Turkey, and Switzerland. She was an assistant to Joey Dowling with NYCDA. She spent four years in central Pennsylvania where she taught master classes for Penn State University and the three-time national championship Lionettes dance team, taught and choreographed for Centre Dance Studio, and was a full-time faculty member at The Grier School, a prestigious boarding school for girls, with dance students from over 20 countries around the world.
Kelsey Harris – Elite Director
Kelsey Harris began her dance training at the age of four, performing and competing with Center Stage Performing Arts Studio up until graduating from high school. She is trained in jazz, ballet, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and an intermediate level of ballroom and tap. Kelsey received several scholarships while traveling to compete with Center Stage and worked with many professional dancers/choreographers. In 2014, Kelsey was honored to receive the Sterling Scholar Award in Dance at Timpanogos High School, which led her to pursue dance in college. Kelsey recently graduated from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts in dance and excelled in both performing and creating choreographic works during her time at UVU. She was a member of UVU’s Synergy Dance Company in 2016-2017 and traveled to perform at America’s College Dance Association. She served an internship as the demonstrator and assistant teacher in a Laban Movement Analysis course at UVU. Kelsey performed in Contemporary Dance Ensemble’s concert, Ricochet, as well as with Repertory Dance Theatre, performing the historical work Passacaglia with other UVU dance majors and the Repertory Dance Theatre company. She recently choreographed and presented her senior capstone piece, What Lies Beneath, in her last semester at UVU. Kelsey is coming up on her fifth year of teaching and has been with The Pointe Academy for several years. Kelsey’s teaching and choreographic experience includes jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, modern, and hip hop. She has taken students under her direction to compete her choreography and has received top scores.
Lindsay started dancing when she was three years old and has loved dancing and performing ever since. Growing up, she studied ballet, jazz, and contemporary with additional training in tap, hip hop, modern, and various other styles. She has spent time training all over the country, including in New York, Los Angeles, and Hawaii, and has performed with many companies, locally and nationally. She is currently attending Utah Valley University finishing up a degree in dance with an emphasis in ballet. At UVU, she has danced and performed with many classes and companies, as well as created a variety of choreographic works. Through her university studies she has learned so much about dance as well as physical and mental health, which she loves to share with her students. Lindsay’s biggest dance passion is teaching! She loves informing and inspiring students through dance, and teaching students how to appreciate and care for their bodies.
Mackenzie Saunooke- Elite Director
Born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona is where Mackenzie started dancing at the age of 4. Mackenzie became a competitive dancer at the age of 5 and has been doing it ever since. She is trained in all styles of dance such as; jazz, hip hop, tap, ballet, contemporary and Pom. Ever since she was young as a studio company dancer she has been to numerous competitions and has won multiple scholarships and awards. At the age of 16 Mackenzie was accepted into Ballet Arizona’s Summer Program, where she got to work with choreographers all over the world, work on technique, and knowledge of ballet. In 2018, Mackenzie was accepted onto the Utah Valley Dance Team. Where her and her team won 1st at UDA nationals and also won Gold at ICU worlds competition. On the dance team Mackenzie had the opportunity to choreograph a contemporary piece for the 2019 Spring Concert. This summer of 2020 Mackenzie graduated Utah Valley with an Associates Degree in University Studies. Mackenzie is so happy to be a part of the Pointe family and can’t wait to share her love for dance with her students.
